Death, Pollution, and Production

The world has, by now, noticed the emerging debate over environmental protections and climate change as humanity marches towards its own inevitable doom. The modern capitalist consumerist culture has started to deplete important and rare resources on earth in return for useless commodities that barely help humanity at all. Instead of trying to lessen our use of the important resources we use to fuel our technological advances by finding better alternatives we use them to make simple commodities that will grow old and useless in mere months. This has not only depleted our resources but it has also had a negative effect on developing countries and workers all around the world. Sweatshops in Asia, economic imperialism in Africa and worker burnouts in America and Europe are all side effects of this toxic culture currently plaguing society. Yet leftists and right wingers all over the world ignore the other numerous side effects of this plague and blame it on random events that are usually side effects on their own.

The conservatives are hypocrites by not recognizing how their beliefs are oxymorons. These ‘Conservatives’ pride themselves on being the protectors of tradition yet they fail to recognize that this culture has left nothing to conserve. They whine about the decay of traditional values, yet they enthusiastically support extreme Industrial-consumerist progress and economic growth. They fail to realize that you can’t make rapid, drastic changes in the mechanics and the economy of a society without causing rapid changes in all other aspects of the society as well, and that such rapid changes inevitably break down traditional values. The breakdown of traditional values to some extent implies the breakdown of the bonds that hold together traditional small-scale social groups. The disintegration of small-scale social groups is also promoted by the fact that modern conditions often require or tempt individuals to move to new locations, separating themselves from their communities. Beyond that, a Industrio-consumerist society HAS TO weaken family ties and local communities if it is to function efficiently. Requiring the individual to first have loyalty to the system rather than the small community. Conservatives recognize that wages are too low and prices are too high but they oppose helping the workers while trying to keep a more laissez faire approach. They also recognize that while the common man is struggling to live the stock market is booming and it seems America always has the money to bail out the companies that start to fall, giving them even further freedom, i.e. the 2008 stock market crash. Comically, instead of realizing how bad the system has become corrupted, they blame high taxes and immigrants as they hold onto their pride. The most comedic event is that they call themselves conservatives, meaning they want to conserve traditional values.

The modern Leftists are just as bad as the Conservatives. They have ruined what it means to be a leftist, to fight for freedoms culturally and socially, to fight for the rights of workers and try to combat an ultra religious, ultra sensitive society. They do all this without realizing that the biggest plagues, the biggest problems that the workers and the proletariat face are all side effects of the Industrio-consumerist system. The Industrio-Consumerist system has lead to Neo-colonialism as companies producing useless commodities try to find poor countries whose resources they can leach off. This has led many countries and groups in the Middle East and Africa to start fighting over depleting resources. For example, the current proxy war in Yemen, the Congolese civil war, the Syrian civil war and the Rohingya genocide. These have lead to the recent wave of refugees trying to find a safe place in the west as countries from all sides take part in proxy wars inside these poor nations. One of the biggest examples of this is Iran. The beloved Shah was removed by a coalition of Russia, China, America and Britain all wanting a share of Iran’s many resources. That lead to a Islamic Dictatorship that turned on the west seized all of Iran’s resources and started giving them away to China and Russia for awfully low prices while the poor and workers starve and the rich benefit from this corrupt regime as they build mansions in the west and live there comfortably. Many might wonder “Where did all these stolen/seized resources go?” and that’s where it all connects back to the Industrio-consumerist tumor. Those resources go towards big companies in China that produce useless commodities for westerners to enjoy.
